Stagecoach 2014, which is billed as California’s Country Music Festival, and took place between April 25 to April 27 in Indio, CA, was one of the greatest country music festivals in the eight years it has been running – and the proof is in the water, um, beer, um, music.

The festival, which took place at the Empire Polo Club which also famously host s the Coachella Music Festival each year, saw various performances by country’s top acts including Eric Church, Jason Aldean, and Luke Bryan, with additional performances by Hunter Hayes, Florida Georgia Line, Brantley Gilbert, Jennifer Nettles, Loretta Lynn, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and the legendary rock and roll hall of famers, Lynyrd Skynyrd (who blew away the crowds with their hit, Sweet Home Alabama).

While some spectators of the event stayed on the festival grounds in RV lots, most of the 70,000 country fans (the largest the festival has seen in years) boarded up at nearby resorts which hosted their own pre and post festival parties each day/night. One of the most in-demand parties in particular was at the Indian Wells Hotel Resort that was put together by PortOPong.com, the world’s first inflatable beer pong table, and beer sponsor BudLight, and saw hundreds of party goers playing the drinking sport (cleverly renamed Country-Pong i n honor of the festival) with a cold one in the hotel pools.

If you weren’t busy watching the acts on the festival grounds or from the top of the giant festival ferris wheel, you could be keeping cool in the nearby Toyota Ice Tent with an inflatable snow globe and penguins, or playing some Playstation 4 in a fully air conditioned trailer (the festival has an average temperature of 99 degrees) while sipping back some Bud. And if keeping cool wasn’t on your mind, the festival introduced this year a line-dancing indoor club on the grounds, horse-back riding, a petting zoo, a off-road dirt truck track, and over a 100 different food trucks to satisfy all your cravings.

From Eric Church’s opening rock act, to Luke Bryan’s closing sunset-draped performances of Country Girl (Shake It For Me) / Drink A Beer, Stagecoach 2014 brought pride and joy to the country music genre and set the bar pretty high for the years to come!
