Paramore-2011-trio

Pop-rock giants Paramore are hard at work on their fourth as yet untitled album. Yet, the work isn’t coming as easy as they hoped it would. The album has no confirmed release date, and may even not release this year. The group’s last album was 2009’s Brand New Eyes. Yet with the leaving of founding members Zac and Josh Farro, the group was left dismantled and with an unlikely future. Haley Williams and crew continued on without their signature drummer and guitarist, and have released a string of modestly successful singles for their “Singles Club,” the most notable on being “Monster” from mid last year.

The recording process has been troubling, according to frontgirl Haley Williams. “There’s no reason to lie about it, the first few months of writing were ridiculously draining and a lot more of a pain than a pleasure. It was supposed to be fun right? We made it all the way to this point to just struggle some more. So, you can probably imagine that when the flood gates burst this past January and inspiration started filling us up again, we were more than willing to let it take us wherever it wanted.”

Yet even with a creative burst, the group is still taking stabs at developing their new record. “In case you can’t tell, we’re working on a pretty strange schedule, by our standards. There has never been so much time and care put into a Paramore album. Usually, we are rushing to make a very strict deadline, which so far has just not been right for this record. We cannot assure you it will be out this year. What we can tell you is that from now on, when we go in to create this thing, whether for a day at a time or for a month, you will be kept more informed.”

The album’s release date is tentatively 2012. be sure to stay informed and read their recent lengthy post about their progress at the group’s official website, posted below:
