A mere two months removed from her last offering, the Glory EP Grand Hustle representative Iggy Azalea is back once more with a new project for all her Azaleans, as she calls her loyal fan base. (Sidebar: Iggy really impressed me at the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards cypher, just thought I’d add). the 11-track tape featuring production for FKi and Diplo features cuts like “Bac 2 Tha Future (My Time),” “Down South” plus Flexin and Finessin wich features Mr Bands-A-Make-Her-Dance himself, Juicy J.
In her own words:
“TrapGold is a project I created, to bring me back the feeling I used to get before I meet those men in suits who tried to find every way to suck the life and magic out of me,”
STRONG WORDS. But hey it works for me, and I presume it will work for you as well. HIP HOP LIVES. In all of us. Thinking of what to expect from the content:
“It’s the fun and cockiness of being young and feeling bulletproof.. It’s winding down your car window, extending your middle finger out and up into the sun as those men behind their desks stare down at you from their high-rise offices… ‘FU*K EM!’”
Iggy will be joining Rita Ora on a 5-date U.S. tour which kicks off in Santa Ana, California on October 23rd.
